Necklace tells when you overeat

/ Screen capture from YouTube Scientists have developed a necklace that sends an alert every time you overeat.Developed at the University of California, WearSens goes around the neck and has a sensor that monitors vibrations in the throat. The “diet choker” is also connected to a smartphone app that gives an alert when you go over the daily calorie limit. The researchers have tested the device on 30 people, and say that it works.A demonstration posted on Youtube asks for the user’s age, height, weight and their weight goal.“Many nutrition methods are based on writing down what you eat,” WearSens co-founder Majid Sarrafzadeh told the Daily Mail. “But that method has low compliance, so we wanted to overcome these issues and do something like what a pedometer does for activity.”
