/ Courtesy of Youtube Men are more narcissistic than women, according to a U.S. university study that analyzed three decades of data from more than 475,000 participants.The findings were consistent across age groups and generations.“Narcissism is associated with various interpersonal dysfunctions, including an inability to maintain healthy long-term relationships, unethical behavior and aggression,” Emily Grijalva, an assistant professor at the University of Buffalo, said.“At the same time, narcissism is shown to boost self-esteem, emotional stability and the tendency to emerge as a leader.”The study also suggested that men were more likely to exploit others and feel entitled to certain privileges.

Tickets to Jeju fall below $20

/ Korea Times file By Rachel LeeIt now only costs about 20,000 ($18) won to fly to Jeju Island.According to online shopping site Interpark, Korean Air and Asiana, the country’s major airlines, offer one-way fares from Kimpo Airport to Jeju Island at 20,000- 30,000 won ($27), thanks to lower fuel surcharges. The rate has gone down 83 percent this year from a year earlier, to 2,200 won ($2). Last summer, tickets were 120,000 won ($109).“It is the best time to travel around the country as ticket prices have decreased,” said an Interpark spokesperson. “It’s even cheaper to book on mobile, which gives you an extra discount.”Social commerce sites WeMakePrice and Ticket Monster offer tickets to Jeju Island at 28,600 won ($26) and 30,800 won ($28) respectively. Prices include fuel surcharges.

Plane skids off runway at La Guardia

Passengers had a lucky escape when a Delta Air Lines jetliner slid off the runway while landing at New York’s  LaGuardia Airport during a snowstorm on Thursday.Of the 127 passengers on board, some took to Instagram and Twitter to post pictures and videos of their ordeal."I just survived this," an Instagram user named Vanessa posted."Thank you New York for such bad weather."Police said there were only minor injuries.The city's fire department said it had initially received reports of 24 people with life-threatening injuries.

Although newspaper photos represent windows of the world, readers can be offended when such photos are disturbingly graphic.Joh Sun-jae, 43, is one of such reader, who called The Korea Times on Friday afternoon to complain that a front page photo from the Friday edition of the newspaper (no. 19976) was hard to digest.
