Sex tape of lover

Dear Dr. P,Today I found a tape of my boyfriend having sex with another woman he dated previously. I’m still ruffled and shocked and just sick to my stomach. Why doesn’t he throw it away? What’s he keeping it for? I don’t understand and I am very depressed and hurt. I really love this man, but now I don’t know. I’m so confused and saddened by all this. I still haven’t confronted him about it. Please help me. Going crazy. Dear sender,One of the most painful things in the world is watching your lover have an affair with another girl. Sometimes, this kind of strong jealousy and anger can defeat your reason and produce many tragedies. Othello, one of the four great tragedies by Shakespeare, showed an example of how much human jealousy can powerfully impact a person, and destroy him.In that sense, I understand how frustrated and embarrassed you must have been at the moment you found the video tape. However, if you love your boyfriend sincerely, you obviously have a right to persuade him to throw it away. Also, holding onto the past is quite m

Weight gain in pregnancy, is it baby's cravings?

By Lee Hye-junMy best friend used to complain how her mother-in-law forced her to eat more when she was pregnant. Her mother-in-law would say “The baby needs good nutrition to grow. Have some more.” On the other hand, her own mother was worried the baby would get so large that her daughter might experience a difficult childbirth. There is no doubt under eating is harmful for both mothers and babies. Smaller and thinner babies are born to nutritionally deprived women and likely to get more hypertension, diabetes, dyslipidemia, and coronary artery disease when they grow up.The recommended ranges of weight gain during a single pregnancy by the Institute of Medicine (1990) are as follows; between 12.5 and 18 kilograms for thin women (body mass index, or BMI, 29).When this guideline was written, concern was more focused on under-nutrition. Currently, obesity, whether pregnant or not, is in the center of attention in the developed countries. It was reported that 46 percent of women had weight gains above the guidelines. Now even lower weight gain than the guideline is advocated

Chronic fatigue can be something serious

Drowsiness in the afternoon may be a sign of chronic fatigue syndrome.By Yoon Ja-youngPark Jae-un, a researcher at a university in Seoul, visited a hospital for continuing fatigue and was diagnosed with “chronic fatigue syndrome.”She wasn’t concerned at first — fatigue is what many people go through in modern life. She thought it was due to excessive work, which led to overtime at night and a lack of sleep. However, the fatigue continued even after she completed the project and got a good night’s sleep. She then resorted to traditional medicine and restorative drinks, but they didn’t help. The symptoms only worsened, accompanied by cold sweats and headaches. One of her colleagues advised her to go to hospital, and there she found out that she had chronic fatigue syndrome. She has been recovering slowly, getting cognitive behavioral therapy and medicinal treatment.People often think it is due to lack of sleep when they feel sluggish and not refreshed after sleeping. However, this may be a disease that “affects not only the patient himself but a

Don't use double eyelid tape

To make double eyelids as seen in the right photo, some teenagers with mono eyelids, as in the left photo, sometimes resort to double eyelids tape or glue. These beauty aids, however, may harm the user’s health.By Yoon Ja-youngMany teenage girls here might have tried “double eyelid tape” or “double eyelid glue” once or twice. However, these can be harmful if used continuously, doctors warn. The term double eyelid means to have a crease in the eyelid. Most Caucasians have this naturally so the term may sound strange to them, but the majority of Koreans do not. As people with double eyelids tend to have bigger eyes than those with mono eyelids, “double eyelid surgery” is one of the most common plastic surgery procedures people go through here.As most parents only allow their daughters to have plastic surgery after their college entrance exam, however, many teens try to make their eyes appear bigger by using tape or glue.Doing so a few times may be okay, but they may face side effects such as sagging eyelids or eye inflammation if they
