Nude photo leaks haunt celebs

Jennifer Lawrence, left, and Kate UptonAn alleged leak of nude pictures involving celebrities such as Jennifer Lawrence and Kate Upton has erupted into a major issue, with the FBI and tech giant Apple looking into what happened. Lawrence, a three-time Oscar nominee, contacted authorities after her nude photos emerged. Other nude photos, allegedly of female celebrities, were also posted. Lawrence's publicist Liz Mahoney wrote in a statement that the incident is “a flagrant violation of privacy.'' FBI spokeswoman Laura Eimiller said that the agency was addressing the allegations, though she stopped short of saying what actions it would take.  Apple spokeswoman Natalie Kerris said it had launched an internal investigation into whether any iCloud accounts had been tampered with. iCloud is Apple’s internet-based service for synchronizing content across devices such as iPhones, iPads and Macs.Actress Mary Elizabeth Winstead also confirmed that her nude photos were posted online. Many get part-time jobs for Chuseok: survey

Many people see the Chuseok holiday season as a time to pick up extra cash, a recent survey found. Employment agency “Part-time Heaven” said it asked some 1,800 people between the ages of 20 and 50 if they planned to work part-time over the holiday.  More than half responded that they would, the company said. The jobs included working as a clerk at a hypermart (42 percent), gift wrapping (23 percent), delivery person (10 percent), street promoter (seven percent) and kitchen worker (six percent).    By age group, those in 30s were most willing to take such work, with 59 percent saying they would.  They were followed by those in 50s (58 percent), 40s (56 percent) and 20s with (48 percent).  As to the reasons for pursuing the plan, 33 percent said they wanted to “earn big bucks fast.” This was followed by “bad financial status” at 24 percent, “holiday boredom” at 18 percent, and “covering vacation expenses” at 13 percent.

Artists releasing sexier 'teasers'

Teaser photos by Nasty Nasty, above, and Park Si-yeon and Noh Min-wooCompetition in the entertainment industry is apparently pushing artists and productions to release steamier previews of their work. The new teaser for the song “Knock” by project group Nasty Nasty features band members Kevin and Kyeong-li getting hot and heavy in bed. At one point, Kevin is seen throwing Kyeong-li onto the bed. The music video drops Monday.  The sultry feeling extends to television as well. Park Si-yeon and Noh Min-woo, stars of upcoming TV Chosun drama “Best Wedding” are seen in teaser photos making out underneath the covers. The photos were reportedly taken with only a handful of people in the room, because of the sensitive nature of the shoot. Reports say the show, which airs later this month, will be accordingly sexy.

K-pop star is serious about farming

Minah, a member of the idol group Girl’s Day, has acquired an operator’s license for small-sized excavators.The singer will show off her skills on the first episode of the SBS reality show, “Are We Having Fun?” which airs Sunday.The program involves celebrities who attempt to build houses in rural area and live there for a period of time.   In the episode, filmed in Taean-gun, South Chungcheong Province, Minah said she worked on crop fields by removing stones and turning barren ground into cultivable soil. She added that the license was “not hard to earn so anyone can easily get it.”Comedian Kim Byung-man, who also appears on the program, said he was surprised to see the singer’s delicate handling of the equipment.Ahead of shooting, the singer was persuaded by the show’s program director to get the license. She thought being able to operate the equipment would help to change stereotypes about female pop stars.

A male pervert who terrorized trekkers on Mt. Bukhan has been caught, Eunpyeong police announced Friday.The police nabbed the criminal known by surname as Lee, 36, on charges of public nudity by pulling down his pants and masturbating on the mountain’s trekking routes in front of female trekkers.The police began to receive reports on Lee since early August and dispatched a policeman to the mountain. With help of trekkers who witnessed Lee, the policeman could spot him and arrest at the scene.Lee has been committing the illicit act about five times starting from August 10 until 27.Police investigation found that Lee is a patient diagnosed with level-three mental disorder. He confessed he has been committing the crime because women screaming at him during masturbation excited him to the point of keep doing it.

'Friends' reunite in Jimmy Kimmel show

Courtney Cox, Jennifer Aniston and Lisa Kudrow, the former casts of NBC’s popular sitcom “Friends” (1994~2004), gathered together on Wednesday for a skit on ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live.Kimmel, who was interviewing Aniston as the show’s guest, revealed an exact replica of the Friends’ New York apartment set and asked her to read through a script he had written, in which Kimmel was Ross, originally played by David Schwimmer.“This is really dumb,” objected Aniston against the script.“Is it dumber than living in a huge apartment in New York City for eight years even though you work in a coffee shop?” retorted Kimmel.The reminiscent script depicted Chandler (Mathew Perry) and Joey (Matt LeBlanc) dead because “Marcel the monkey bit them and gave them monkey rabies.”

American music magazine Billboard paid notable attention Wednesday to popular idol girl group Sistar’s new music video as they performed their new, zesty dance song “I Swear.”The magazine praised the song off their latest album “Sweet & Sour,” saying that it has encapsulated the group’s stylish fortes with members’ smooth vocals, rapping and high-note techniques.The media gave satisfactory marks on the music video as well, pointing out its liveliness and story-like flow of discourse throughout expressed by fluent close-ups on the scantily clad members’ slender, sexy poses that synced with the exotic landscape of Saipan, where the video was shot.The video’s production was joined by Choi Yong-seok, the nation’s renowned visual artist better known as “Lumpens.”

Idol singer's drug charge dropped

Son Ho-youngProsecutors suspended the indictment against singer Son Ho-young, a member of the veteran boy band G.O.D., on charges of taking Zolpidem, a sleep-aid drug that requires a doctor’s prescription, the Seoul Central Prosecutors’ Office announced Friday.The decision was based on the prosecutors’ conclusion that the 34-year-old has no record of past drug offenses, did not use the drug more than once and acknowledged his mistake.In May, Son was caught trying to commit suicide by locking himself inside his vehicle and igniting a coal fire starter.Son left the vehicle as it caught on fire and was taken to a hospital. He reportedly sustained no serious injuries.While trying to kill himself, he allegedly took Zolpidem, which police discovered while investigating the scene after the incident.

Men and women react differently after sex

Results from a recent survey supported the common believe that men are more likely to grow distant after having sex than females.A joint survey by matchmaking agencies Bien Aller and Only You asked 556 single men and women, “How did your partner change after first sex?”Nearly 70 percent of male respondents said their partners became more intimate. Only 10 percent of the same group responded that females remained the same after sex.On the other hand, less than forty percent of female respondents said their male partners became more intimate.As to another question, “How did you change after first sex?” 48 percent of male respondents said they were not significantly affected by it. Almost 69 percent of female respondents said they became more passionate towards their male partners.A “couples manager” from Only You speculated that females often become more committed to their partners after first sex because many use the act to declare their romantic intentions.

Watch: Megan Fox throws first pitch at Jamsil

American actress Megan Fox threw out the ceremonial first pitch in a Korean Baseball Organization game between the Doosan Bears and LG Twins at Seoul’s Jamsil Stadium, Wednesday.  The heroine from the blockbuster “Transformers” films wore a Bears uniform she walked on the field and said a brief greeting to thousands of crowds flocked at the stadium. Jamsil is the home field of both the Bears and Twins. Fox threw a slow, high arcing pitch that didn’t quite reach the catcher.  She arrived in Korea earlier in the day to promote the film“Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.” She was accompanied by husband Brian Austin Green and son Bodhi Ransom Green.
