UFO footage posted on YouTube

An unidentified flying object (UFO) was spotted soaring above lunar surface, claimed one YouTube user, danchek2013, who uploaded a video of what he saw. He claimed the footage shows at least one mysterious object zipping about over the surface of the moon. In the footage, one of the “craft” emerges from the shadowy landscape of the moon's surface and then seemingly accelerates over the craters. Some believe the behavior of the craft cannot be that of a human-maneuvered plane or a flying creature. User “King Dennis Jensen” said, “At first I was like ‘man?, another satellite,’ and then one more showed up faster than the other and it did all those swift angle movements.” Nathan5638 said, “Quite interesting indeed.” Aaliyah Martinez believes the speed of the t

Exposure to light during pregnancy key to normal eye development

Pregnant women should expose themselves to sufficient light unless they want to have their babies’ eyes compromised.  The research, led by scientists at the Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center and the University of California at San Francisco (UCSF), appeared online Jan. 16 ahead of the print publication.  Light is absorbed through pregnant woman’s body. It then activates a protein called melanopsin directly in the fetus. Melanopsin then helps the normal development of fetus’ eyes. "Without oxygen, eye development is subject to intense pressure and in extreme cases it causes severe damage and even blindness. Several major eye diseases are vascular (blood vessel-related) diseases, which is triggered when there is a lack of oxygen supply." said project collaborator David Copenhagen, a scientist in the department of ophthalmology and physiology at UCSF. .
