Watching TV kills sperms

Approximately 3 hours of daily TV watching (20 hours weekly) reduces sperm count by 44 percent, according to a study released by Harvard University on Feb. 4. The Harvard School of Public Health's sperm study published the result this week in the British Journal of Sports Medicine. It said that guys who spent more than 20 hours per week had 44 percent less sperm than those who watched no TV. Exercise enthusiasts, however, have nothing to worry about. About 15 hours of weekly exercise (two hours daily) seemed to increase their sperm production to nearly 75 percent higher than those who did less than five hours weekly. It should be noted, the study said, that the survey sample is relatively small: 189 healthy men between the ages of 18 and 22 who live in Rochester, N.Y.Participants told researchers about their TV, tobacco, eating and exercise habits, and handed over samples of their semen for analysis between 2009 and 2010.Only a presumptive association has been found, the researchers cautioned. Sedentary lifestyle and lower sperm counts being the two variables."Two potentially modifiabl

Watching porn helps men warm to same-sex marriage

Gay marriage is a hot-button issue in civilized western countries. U.S. President Barack Obama, now in his second term, is voicing his firm stance on equal rights and pursuit of happiness for all. The U.K. Parliament has passed the same-sex marriage proposal bill. For the French, the idea is so old mentioning it is boring. Everybody knows it's the right thing to do. It's their gut feeling that's prohibiting. But they might be too caged in old-fashioned bias, a new study suggested. Opening up to a new idea is always controversial.A novel method to soften their stance has been introduced. The new rather shocking idea is: to get them to watch dirty videos. A study from the U.S. has suggested. For the latest study, a professor and study co-author of the University of Arizona, looked at data from studies of 500 heterosexual men over the past five years funded by the National Science Foundation."Pornography consumption did predict over-time increases in support for same-sex marriage," the research team wrote. The more that straight men watch pornography, the more they warm to the

The most frequent lie told at blind date

What you hear is not always what you get. Half the flowery comments at blind dates are lies, according to a survey by Starting Happiness & The One Noble. The survey included 391 single men and 403 single women. Among them, 40 percent of the men said that they paid even when they were not actually interested. So women shouldn’t get too excited when a man is buying her a meal. The next lie most frequently told _ 32 percent _ was leading women on that he will call. The next _ 21 percent _ were compliments about the personality and appearance. For women, the most frequently told lie was compliments about the personality and appearance, taking up to 41 percent. Some 33 percent of the women kept in touch with men even when they were not interested. Men mostly try to avoid being awkward. Women doing so bore another reason. They were looking forward to being asked out again.

signs of emotional Infidelity

Words define thoughts. Words mitigate guilt as well. Confidantes outside committed relationship comfort you.He or she gets you when your spouse doesn’t care. You find yourself attached to that person. Call it “friendship” and the burden is somehow off the chest. It is not. It is still there. Then how do you set the boundaries? Psychologists might help you draw the line. Judith Tutin, Charlotte A. Michie, and Dr. Stephen Snyder offered a few criteria for self-examination. The psychologists came up with many reasons.“You dress up for him. You try new clothes or new hairstyle and wonder what he'll think.” Hiding your feelings also happens, she added. “You lie to your partner about seeing him. You think it’s not lying, but it is. You must ask yourself what you're hiding and why.” Trying new things, which is so unlike the usual self, are included,“You do special things for him that you don't do for others. You give him little gift imagining him placing on his desk. You know your true intentions are.” Increase in electronic co

Bizzare photos of underwater creature's shocks people

Dead underwater creatures’ bizarre photos are drawing people’s attention online. Marine photographer Jason Bradley unveiled the images. He dived deep in the ocean to photograph the yet unknown. Bradley was fascinated by underwater creatures. People, it seemed, weren’t as interested about fish as the sun and the moon. He wanted his interest be shared. Photos might work, he thought. And it did bring the unknown to life. “As of today, we've only explored about 5 percent of deep ocean habitats. If there is ever a final frontier, the ocean is it. Imagine what other animals live there.” But at first, the images didn’t satisfy him. “First, I thought ‘Nobody’s going to be excited about this.’ But after a few shots, I got excited and inspired. I thought ‘These creatures have a strange beauty.’ and I felt privileged being able to learn about them.'” He was into the textures, patterns, tones and shapes of the tiny shrimps. He still is. They all sat suspended in their preserving fluid. “Most people might fin

Man sets his girlfriend on fire

A man accused of setting his girlfriend on fire after dousing her with lighter fluid faced charges of aggravated assault and aggravated battery. He is from Columbus, Georgia in the United States. Robert Williams, 35, was arrested Wednesday morning. His 44-year-old girlfriend is hospitalized in critical condition with second- and third-degree burns to her face, neck, chest and hands. Williams told the police that he was trying to light a cigarette in bed, but it combusted and set him and his girlfriend on fire. However, the victim's daughter told the judge the man poured lighter fluid on her mother. The police said they found an empty lighter fluid container in a bathroom trashcan. William’s story lacked consistency. When questioned further, he changed his story. He couldn’t explain the container of lighter fluid found in the bathroom trashcan. The victim's daughter told the court that she was talking on the phone not long before the incident occurred. She said that she heard Williams and her mom arguing. Then the smell of burning gasoline along with a putrid smell came fr

Why women cheat

Women want to be desired. Being wanted is a feeling that women never shun. A lack of it from their supposedly the most intimate partner, women find it elsewhere. It’s called cheating. Loneliness triggers cheating, according to a recent study from the U.K. Undercover Lovers, a UK-based extramarital dating site. Cheating women, it found, are much more likely to want and/or need an intimate emotional bond with their affair partner. Women measure themselves more by their partner’s opinion than men do, according to the report. Their self-worth and sense of security came more from the partner’s comment and attitude, added the report. They also dealt with people with intimacy issues. Some of the female relationship addicts kept being promiscuous. They avoided being in a relationship. The hurt from the past reminded them to be aware of the same thing happening again. To them, being genuine or intimate with someone was the warning signs. They might get hurt again. They defined themselves by feeling control over someone wanting them. Women wanted appreciation for who she
