
Is having sex cheating? No, said some men.
Is passionate kissing cheating then? No. it’s not, replied some other men.
Both answers were in a survey conducted by State of Dating in America.
The report was released jointly by the Christian online dating site Christian Mingle.com and Jewish dating site JDate. com.
Of the 2,700 U.S. singles surveyed, all women agreed that having sex with another person was an act of infidelity.
But some men disagreed. Of all, 95 percent of men said so.
How about a passionate kiss? The answer mirrored the previous one.
All of women polled said that it counts as cheating, but only 86 percent of men felt the same.
In the case of texting or online flirting, the answers had more room.
More than 80 percent of women felt they were unfaithful acts, but only 56 percent of men agreed.
Is thinking about cheating cheating then? Men and women differed on that issue as well.
Of all asked, 55 percent of men and 77 percent of women deemed emotional connections as infidelity.
They had one more interesting result. This time religion was the factor.
Christians appeared to have higher moral standards than Jews.
They were asked, “Is watching porn an act of infidelity?”
Nearly half of the surveyed Christians, 44 percent of them, said that it was.
Only a quarter of Jews, 24 percent of them, agreed.
Going to a strip club constituted cheating, said 43 percent of Christians.
Only 20 percent of Jews answered the same.
