Dead underwater creatures’ bizarre photos are drawing people’s attention online.
Marine photographer Jason Bradley unveiled the images.
He dived deep in the ocean to photograph the yet unknown.
Bradley was fascinated by underwater creatures.
People, it seemed, weren’t as interested about fish as the sun and the moon.
He wanted his interest be shared.
Photos might work, he thought.
And it did bring the unknown to life.
“As of today, we've only explored about 5 percent of deep ocean habitats. If there is ever a final frontier, the ocean is it. Imagine what other animals live there.”
But at first, the images didn’t satisfy him.
“First, I thought ‘Nobody’s going to be excited about this.’ But after a few shots, I got excited and inspired.
I thought ‘These creatures have a strange beauty.’ and I felt privileged being able to learn about them.'”
He was into the textures, patterns, tones and shapes of the tiny shrimps.
He still is.
They all sat suspended in their preserving fluid.
“Most people might find it disgusting or weird at best. But I like it.”
