Too reasons fast food is bad for you health

/ Yonhap Fast-food restaurants deliver filling, inexpensive meals, but there is a hidden cost: too much salt and too many calories.According to Consumer Research, about 30 set meals of fast food chains Lotteria, McDonald’s and Burger King are high in calories ranging from 769 calories to 1,515 calories. Set meals comprise a burger, beverage and a pack of chips.“Most burger set meals are high in calories as well as salt so consumers are advised to check nutritional information listed on the menu,” said the consumer research center CEO, Choi Hyun-sook.Leading the number of calories is Burger King’s Double Cheese Whopper meal with 1,515, followed by the chain’s Double Whopper meal (1,437), Bacon Cheese Whopper meal (1,283), Bacon Cheese Garlic Steak meal (1,229), Cheese Whopper meal (1,219) and McDonald’s Double 1955 meal (1,201).Burger King’s set menu has the highest average calories, 1,197.3, the organization reported.
