Viva Peroni

By Agnes Yu Premium labels distinguish that of superior quality and value. Peroni Nastro Azzurro, Italy’s number one, super premium beer, boasts that distinction. Successfully launched in the local market on May 27, the brand philosophy, “Peroni Nastro Azzurro is Italian style applied to beer” has quickly spread to the main hip and happening venues in Seoul. In order to introduce to the Korean public some internationally appreciated Italian icons from the world of fashion and design a series of “Momenti Peroni” events is being planned where everyone is drinking Nastro Azzorro. In collaboration with Carrera sunglasses, executive chef Sebastiano Giangregorio and the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Korea, the first event “Momenti Peroni & Carrera” will take place this Thursday at Paninoteca, in the popular Garosu-gil neighborhood in Shinsa-dong, Seoul. Guests are welcome to submerge themselves in real Italian style and culture while gorging on authentic Italian finger food and many bottles of Peroni beer. Founded under the family name, the Peroni Brewery dates back to 184

Toast to make a new world record

By Agnes Yu Raise your glass to go down in history with Pieroth Wines on Nov. 20 at exactly 8 p.m. sharp in the largest, synchronized wine tasting ever. Held simultaneously in 25 countries with a target of 25,000 people the attempt to break the Guinness world record in Seoul will take place at High Street Market in Itaewon. Combining some fun to go along with the toast the evening kicks off at 6:30 p.m. and includes a silent auction with a variety of coveted items donated by sponsors _ the American Women’s Club Korea and SantaFe Relocation Services. Participants will submit bids in writing throughout the evening and the highest bidder can gloat in victory. There will also be a lottery with the chance to take home vouchers for hotel stays, bottles of wine, and gift certificates for High Street Market, etc. All proceeds from the evening will go to Another Home, a safe house for abused underage girls.
