International Women’s Day reception due

Last year, people around the world marked the 100th anniversary of International Women’s Day (IWD). In March 1911, more than 1 million women and men attended IWD rallies campaigning for women's rights to work, vote, be trained, to hold public office and end discrimination.
“Connecting Girls, Inspiring Futures” is the theme of the 2012 International Women’s Day. With this in mind, the International Women’s Day Korea Organizing Committee, together with co-host, Seoul Foundation of Women & Family, will be holding a networking reception and panel discussion on March 9 at Seoul Women’s Plaza in Daebang-dong, Seoul.
The event will focus on the present and future of girls/women in the sciences.
Park Hyun-kyung, president of Seoul Foundation of Women & Family, will honor guests by officially opening the event. The panel includes three women educators with a wealth of experience and knowledge regarding women and girls in the sciences.
