Actor Lee Jung-jae and Lim Se-ryong -- the former wife of Samsung Electronics Vice Chairman Lee Jae-yong -- have announced that they are dating, ending years of rumors. "Lee and Lim have recently begun to date," C-Jes Entertainment, which represents Lee, said Thursday. "Their friendship has recently grown into love. Although there has been a rumor that the two have been in love since 2010, they were nothing more than friends back then," the statement said. Lim tied the knot with Lee Jae-yong in 1998, but divorced in 2009.

Actor Choi Min-soo, who recently played a prosecutor on television, refused to accept the Golden Acting Award at Tuesday’s 2014 MBC Drama Awards, in a symbolic gesture over last year’s Sewol ferry sinking. The "Pride and Prejudice" actor did not attend the award ceremony, but asked co-star Baek Jin-hee to deliver a speech on his behalf. The speech ended with a reference to the Sewol ferry disaster, apparently criticizing prosecutors for not punishing those involved in the incident harshly enough. “This is Moon Hee-man from the Public Security team," Choi wrote in his speech, taking on the voice of his character in the drama. "I am currently living as a prosecutor who executes the law; however I would only be able to accept this award if I had done anything to deserve it. “I am sorry to say that I reject this award," he continued. Movie monster to lurk near Han River

/ YonhapA sculpture of the monstrous creature from the 2006 hit movie “The Host” is being displayed at Seoul’s Yeouido Han River Park, city officials said Wednesday.The film, directed by Bong Joon-ho, features a monster created as a result of chemicals being dumped into the Han River. The hideous creature emerges from the water and terrorizes the city.The sculpture is three meters tall and 10 meters high, officials said. It is located between Mapo Bridge and Wonhyo Bridge."We would like to utilize the Han River as a colorful and active stage, by displaying the monster,” an official told Yonhap News Agency, adding that the film had made a lasting impression on mainstream culture.The city will hold a contest for the best photos taken in front of the sculpture.
