Paul McCartney to perform for the first time in Korea
/ YonhapPaul McCartney, a member of the legendary band the Beatles, will hold his much-anticipated first-ever concert in South Korea on Saturday.The concert will take place at Seoul's Jamsil Stadium at 8 p.m. as part of his "Out There" world tour that began in Brazil in 2013.The event has drawn much anticipation as the 72-year-old canceled his previous concert in Seoul due to health problems a year ago.Upon arriving at Incheon International Airport on Friday night, the star received a warm welcome from some 500 fans and journalists.According to the Seoul event's organizers, he was in good shape after successfully finishing a tour of Japan.During the April 21-28 concerts in Japan, the veteran British musician surprised the audience by singing a total of 39 songs in a three-hour running time despite his old age.They included both Beatles hits and his own: "Magical Mystery Tour," "Can't Buy Me Love," "Save Us," "Let Me Roll It," "Jet," "Nineteen Hundred and Eighty Five," "The Long and Winding Road," and "We Can Work It Out."
