30년 지기 조폭 선·후배 취중 난투극 중 귀 물어뜯어

전북에서 술김에 주점에서 흉기를 들고 난투극을 벌인 폭력조직원 2명이 경찰에 붙잡혔다.    전북 남원경찰서는 17일 특수상해 등 혐의로 이모(45)씨와 유모(46)씨를 불구속 입건했다고  밝혔다. 이씨는 지난달 1일 오전 3시 10분께 남원시 도통동 한 주점에 찾아가 술을 마시던 유씨를 양주병으로 때린 혐의를 받고 있다.    갑작스러운 공격에 화가 난 유씨는 이씨를 바닥으로 밀친 뒤 귀를 물어뜯어 일부를 잘라냈다.    머리와 귀에 각각 큰 상처를 입은 이들은 주점 종업원의 만류에도 한참 동안 난투극을 이어갔고 이 과정에서 이씨는 흉기를 꺼내 휘두르기도 했다.    경찰은 목격자 신고를 받고 현장에 출동해 몸싸움을 벌이는 이들을 떼어낸 뒤 병원으로 옮겼다.    조사결과 남원 한 폭력조직원인 이씨는 다른 조직에 몸담은 유씨가 자신을 무시했다는 이유로 주점에 찾아가 술병을 휘두른 것으로 드러났다.    이씨는 “중학교 때부터 유씨를 알고 지냈는데 나를 부하처럼 대해서 기분이 나빴다”고 말했다.    경찰은 조만간 조사를 마무리하고 이들을 기소의견으로 검찰에 송치할 예정이라고 연합뉴스는 전했다.

여자화장실에서 여성의 신체를 촬영하려다 미수에 그치고 증거를 인멸하려 한 20대 남성에게 실형이 선고됐다. 울산지법 형사2단독 이종엽 부장판사는 성폭력 범죄의 처벌 등에 관한 특례법 위반(카메라 등 이용 촬영) 혐의로 기소된 A(28)씨에게 징역 5개월을 선고하고, 40시간의 성폭력 치료 프로그램 이수를 명령했다고 16일 밝혔다.    A씨는 올해 2월 중순 울산의 한 상가 여자화장실 용변 칸에서 대기하다가 옆 칸에서 용변을 보던 B(50·여)씨를 몰래 촬영하려다 미수에 그친 혐의로 재판에 넘겨졌다.    A씨는 칸막이 아래에 휴대전화를 두는 방법을 시도했으나, B씨가 휴대전화를 발견하는 바람에 발각됐다.    범행 직후 달아난 A씨는 휴대전화를 초기화하는 방법으로 저장된 사진과 동영상 등을 모두 삭제하며 증거인멸을 시도했다.    재판부는 “여자화장실을 몰래 촬영하는 것은 피해자에게 심각한 성적수치심과 혐오감을 줄뿐 아니라, 여성이 일상적 생활공간에서 타인의 성적 욕망의 대상이 될 수 있다는 불안과 공포감을 일으킨다”면서 “전자파일 형태의 사진과 동영상이 일반에 유포되면 피해를 회복하기 어려우므로 엄격히 처벌해야 한다”고 설명했다고 연합뉴스는 전했다.    재판부는 “휴대전화를 초기화해 압수수색과 디지털 분석을 불가능하게 만들었는데, 이는 범행에 관한 증거를 인멸하기 위한 목적으로 보기에 충분하다”고 밝혔다.

Police seek arrest of Korean Air chief for fund misappropriation

Cho Yang-hoPolice requested an arrest warrant for the chief of Korea's top airline Monday for his alleged misappropriation of company funds for home renovation.Cho Yang-ho, CEO of Korean Air Lines and chairman of Hanjin Group, is under investigation over suspicion that he siphoned off 3 billion won ($2.65 million) from company coffers to pay for the remodeling of his house in central Seoul between May 2013 and August 2014. He faces charges of breach of trust.When he was questioned last month, he denied any wrongdoing, saying he had no knowledge of the misappropriation.Police also sought a warrant to arrest a group executive in charge of construction involved in the suspected crime.The allegations were raised during a separate police investigation into possible tax fraud by an interior renovation company that works largely for business conglomerates.In early July, police investigators raided the airline's headquarters in western Seoul and confiscated accounting books and contract documents. By Chyung Eun-juA Korean actor has been sentenced to one year’s jail, suspended for two years, and 40 hours of sexual molestation treatment in a retrial for sexual harassment, according to the Seoul High Court on Sunday.The actor, whose identity has been withheld, was found not guilty in the first trial of ripping an actress’ undergarments and putting his hand inside her pants without her consent while filming a low budget movie in April 2015.The actress, who claimed the actor had victimized her, will hold a press conference on Sunday, according to a social media post.A post titled “#STOP sexual assault in movie industry,” translated from Korean, revealed that she will hold a press conference at 11 a.m. on Oct. 24 at in the Seoul Bar Association in Gwanghwamun District.

훔친 차량서 숙식하다 문제 생기면 버리고 또…

훔친 차량에서 숙식을 해결하다 차량에 문제가 생기면 버리고 또 다른 차량을 훔치고 버린40대가 구속됐다.광주 북부경찰서는 16일 문이 열린 차량을 골라 5대를 잇달아 훔친 혐의(상습절도)로 박모(44)씨를 구속했다고 밝혔다    박씨는 지난 9월 5일 오전 1시 10분께 광주 북구의 한 주차장에서 4천만원 상당의 렌터카를 훔치는 등 광주와 충남 태안 지역에서 5대의 차량을 훔친 혐의를 받고 있다.    조사결과 박씨는 문이 잠기지 않고 차량 열쇠가 내부에 보관된 차량을 찾아 다니며 훔친 것으로 드러났다.    일정한 주거 없이 '꽃게잡이' 어선에 탑승하는 등 일용직으로 살아온 박씨는 훔친 차량에서 잠을 자고 이동하며 마치 집처럼 숙식을 해결했다.    박씨는 훔친 차량의 타이어가 펑크 나거나, 목적지에 도착하면 버리고 다른 차를 훔쳤다. 박씨는 같은 전과 8범으로 지난 1월 실형을 살고 출소해 누범 기간이었다.    경찰은 피해차량을 회수하고 박씨의 여죄를 수사할 예정이다.

5,164 foreigners banned from flights to South Korea

Gov't urged to implement UN recommendations

By Lee Kyung-min National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) Chairperson Lee Sung-ho urged the government, Friday, to fully implement the recommendations from the UN Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights.In the report released on Oct. 9, the UN Committee made recommendations on various human rights issues including discrimination against minorities. The government has 18 months to submit its observations and information on the implementation of the recommendations made by the Committee.“The UN urged that Korea fully incorporate the present recommendations in the third National Action Plan for human rights, with clear implementation timelines and indications of responsibilities for the branches and tiers of the Government.
