SK hynix releases report on carbon emission cuts

By Kim Yoo-chulSK hynix Tuesday released a report on achievements and technologies on the reduction of carbon emissions in the process of manufacturing chips.In its "Carbon Management Report 2014," the firm highlights its strategies on how to accelerate its efforts to further cut carbon emissions.It released the report on its website: www.skhynix.com. It is the third of its kind, following the first in 2010. The world's second-biggest manufacturer of computer memory chips has been consistent in meeting demands by investors and regional communities for carbon emissions."SK hynix has a global baseline for carbon emissions, a commitment to reducing its own carbon emissions," spokesman Park Hyun said. Probe starts for Samsung-LG dispute

By Kim Yoo-chulThe Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office has started an investigation into allegations by Samsung Electronics that several LG Electronics executives damaged its washing machines at retail stores in Germany.LG's head of home appliances Jo Seong-jin is one of the executives facing the probe."The office begun probing accusations by Samsung Electronics, which insisted executives at LG Electronics vandalized Samsung premium washing machines at stores in Berlin, Germany.
