The fourth episode of the show has topped the ratings among the programs broadcasted in the same time slot and garnered the highest viewership among all TV Chosun's programs aired since the cable broadcaster's establishment in 2011. It has seen a steady rise in ratings since the premiere on Feb. 28. The first episode scored 5.89 percent. “Ms. Trot for Tomorrow” is a survival competition show for aspiring trot singers, which aims to dig out young female talent who can lead the new heyday of the genre. Trot, also known as “Ppongjjak,” is a Korean music genre with repetitive rhythm and vocal techniques. On Thursday's episode, 41 contestants went head to head.
