Highlight's Lee Gi-kwang to release album before conscription

The album, fronted by lead track “D.C.Y.E,” will be released at 6 p.m. on March 18 (local time.) “D.C.Y.E” stands for “Don't Close Your Eyes,” and is an R&B hip hop track making the most of Lee's low-pitched voice. Concept photos will be unveiled on Tuesday, followed later by the track list and teasers. Lee is also set to perform solo gigs at Blue Square in Hannam-dong, Seoul on March 23 and 24. On Apr. 18, he will enter Nonsan Training Center in South Chungcheong Province and then begin serving as a conscripted policeman at Gyeonggi Nambu Provincial Police Agency. K-pop icon BTS will start world tour on May 4. Korea Times fileBy Dong Sun-hwaK-pop sensation BTS is sharpening up for its upcoming album. The seven-member boy band is working on the album, and the exact date of its return will soon be revealed, according to its agency Big Hit Entertainment, Monday. The date will be unveiled on the official website. The group is likely to make its comeback by mid-April, and will film its music videos this week, according to reports. The comeback was reportedly scheduled for May, but was brought forward due to schedule adjustment. BTS released its third repackaged album “LOVE YOURSELF 結'ANSWER'” in August, which topped the Billboard 200 Chart. The group will begin a world tour on May 4.

By Dong Sun-hwa, Video by Lee Min-young“No pasa nada” is a Spanish phrase meaning “It is OK” or “Calm down.” It is an epitome of Mexican spirit, according to Christian Burgos, a Mexican TV personality in Korea. “We use it all the time,” Burgos said. “I think it represents our positivity even under tough situations.”Likewise, he and his friend Martinez Rojas Luz Maria, the head of the Mexico Tourism Office in Korea, have been presenting a new view on Mexico for Koreans, dispelling Koreans' prejudices against the country and its people. Stray Kids celebrates 1st anniversary of debut with fresh album

The nine-piece boy band will drop its fourth mini-album “Cle 1 : MIROH” on Mar. 25, exactly a year after its debut in 2018. “Cle” is a French word meaning “key.” What “MIROH” refers to is not yet known. The band's agency, JYP Entertainment, released a teaser video on the group's official Twitter Wednesday. Included in the video is the sentence: “Stray Kids Everywhere All Around the World.” The band, comprised of Woojin, Bang Chan, Lee Know, Changbin, Hyunjin, Han, Felix, Seungmin and I.N, made its debut with the mini-album “I am NOT.” It clinched several Rookie of the Year awards last year. The image, posted on Twitter on Friday, reads “2019.03.19 Coming Soon,” apparently the release date of his new album. It gives no further details. Jeong's most recent album “ANOTHER” was released in July. Jeong, who narrowly missed a ticket to join the 11-piece boy band Wanna One in a survival audition show “Produce 101” in 2017, made his solo debut the same year with R&B song “Just U.” He is known as a “singer-songwridol,” an acronym for “Singer, Songwriter and Idol,” referring to “idolized” K-pop singers with a knack for songwriting.
