The education office has been carrying out the program every year since 2015 to offer teaching resources to overseas institutions that need support.

This year, the office will provide teaching materials worth 37 million won ($27,000) and Korean textbooks in addition to hanbok ― traditional Korean garments ― to the Korean Education Center in Malaysia.

Traditional Korean clothing to totaling 3 million won will be offered to the Korean Education Center in Nagano, Japan.

A group of officials from the education office will visit Indonesia on Monday to provide voluntary services until Friday.

During their stay, the group will teach traditional Korean games to the children of Korean nationals living there.

They will also visit the homes of low-income families of second-generation Korean-Indonesians and help improve their living conditions.

In addition, they will hold a charity bazaar selling clothes and donate the proceeds to Indonesian children.
