Police praise station agent for nabbing alleged pervert

Namdaemun police have praised a Myeongdong Station agent for catching an alleged pervert.

Police began receiving reports on June 13 that a man, aged in his 20s, had been pulling down his pants in front of women near the station.

Station agent Park Hong-jun, 55, was sent out to investigate but the man escaped. With the help of witnesses, Park spotted and caught him.

“As a daughter’s father and station agent who is responsible for protecting passengers, I thought I should catch the criminal,” Park told police.

Police arrested the man on charges of public nudity.
