Actress breaks down after surprise Blue Dragon win

Cheon Woo-hee, not knowing she will win the Best Female Performance award, is arriving at Sejong Center for Performing Arts to particiapte in the 35th Blue Dragon Awards.
Little-known actress Cheon Woo-hee broke down in tears after claiming the Best Female Performance award at the 35th Blue Dragon Awards held in Seoul, Wednesday.
Cheon, 28, who won the award for her role in independent film “Han Gong-ju,” walked to the stage with teary eyes. She then expressed gratitude for winning the award despite the film’s modest budget.
The overwhelmed actress had to calm herself for a few seconds after wondering aloud “how an unpopular actress like me could receive such a huge award.”
The film is about a high school student who loses her friend in a gang rape incident and is pressured to leave the school by the perpetrator’s parents.
