Idol girl groups losing modesty turn off majority of tv viewers
By Ko Dong-hwan

A survey showed almost 70 percent of 1,000 respondents don't care for the idol girl groups under revealing outfits on television.
A survey confirmed seven out of 10 people don’t like to watch idol girl groups on television performing in sexy, revealing outfits, Dailian said Wednesday.
Conducted on 1,000 adults, it revealed that 69.3 percent of the respondents thought the girl groups portray themselves in considerably vulgar ways.
The figure was a mean average between 58.8 percent among male and 79.9 percent among female respondents, who apparently had more negative views toward the girl groups.
As to different age groups, 65.5 percent of the respondents in their 20s, 65.6 percent in their 30s and 64.5 percent in their 40s disapproved of the girl groups.
Those in their 50s expressed the most cynicism against the girl groups with 75.3 percent.
Other respondent groups with comparatively high rates of cynicism included housewives (79.6 percent), those engaged in farming and fisheries (71.9 percent) and Jeju Island residents (92.4 percent).
Also, 56.1 percent of male and 75.0 percent of female respondents wanted stricter regulations to rein in the outgoing girl groups. The result again shows a conspicuous gap between both genders.
The report cited the survey results from Hangil Research Center. Conducted from March 31 to April 2, it gleaned the data through a random digit dialing (RDD) method.
