Privacy is no longer private

The daily routine of a company worker in the 20s are rather alarming.

He or she would be captured on closed circuit television cameras on 31 occasions while traveling from home to the office and all texts and email messages are preserved without personal knowledge.

Similarly, mobile phone conversations are kept for as long as six months while contents on Kakao Talk are preserved for 10 days. What is surprising is that these contents cannot be erased at one’s whim.

Such realities become nightmares for many people, especially those who are involved in scandals. In one case of a sex scandal, contents that were taken on CCTV came back to life after as long as three years.

What these incidents show is that what happened in the past never goes away and cannot be concealed. Technology is everywhere and people are watching you, one expert said.
