Sexual harassment by prosecutor under investigation

The prosecutors’ office has launched a special audit concerning the sexual assault on a woman under questioning and it has come to light that the woman visited a center for sex crimes against woman in Seoul to file reports.

The woman who filed the complaint visited the center a number of times and submitted her underwear as evidence.

The latest developments follows what was believed to have been compromise between the prosecutor and the woman and could escalate to more serious circumstances.

According to the authorities, the woman visited the center on a number of occasion to discuss her case.

She made several calls but also came to the center in person to consult about actions that could be taken against the prosecutor.

“I was afraid because he (the prosecutor) would ask me to come to his office late at night,” she reportedly said. She provided details of two trips to a motel near the prosecutor’s office.

The “victim” also said there are recordings of what transpired between the two although the contents have not been confirmed.
