Americans Sexiest?

The United States ― home to sexy Jessica Simpson, gorgeous George Clooney and stunning Megan Fox ― has the most hotties on the planet, The Herald Sun reported, quoting a U.K. poll.

The U.S. beat Brazil, the birthplace of model Gisele Bundchen, into second place and pushed actress Penelope Cruz and Spain into third.

England swaggers in at a miserable seventh despite 5,000 globe-trotting Brits being quizzed for the survey. Australia claimed fourth place thanks to head-turners including dazzling Victoria's Secret model Miranda Kerr.

"The likes of Jessica Alba, Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt all help America's image as a hot bed of good-looking people. But with a population of more than 300 million, they do have an unfair advantage," a spokesman for One Poll, which carried out the study, said.

The paper reported that the firm said England's poor showing was to be expected.

미국인이 가장 잘 생겨?

섹시한 제시카 심슨, 멋진 조지 크루니와 아름다운 메간 폭스의 나라 미국이 지구상에서 가장 섹시한 사람들이 많은 곳으로 뽑혔다고 헤럴드선이 영국의 설문조사를 인용해 보도했다.

2위는 모델 지젤 번천의 고향인 브라질, 3위는 배우 페넬로프 크루즈의 나라 스페인이 뽑혔다.

5,000명의 영국인에게 물어본 설문조사였음에도 영국은 비참하게 7위에 그쳤다. 호주는 빅토리아 시크릿의 눈부신 모델 미란다 커 덕분에 4위를 차지했다.

이번 조사를 실시한 원폴의 한 대변인은 "제시카 알바, 제니퍼 애니스톤, 브래드 피트의 선호도 덕분에 미국이 섹시한 이미지를 만들 수 있었다. 그러나 3억 이상의 인구가 있다는 점을 감안할 때 미국은 불공평한 이점이 있다"고 말했다.

이 신문은 설문조사를 한 회사가 영국의 부진한 결과를 예상했었다고 전했다.
