Korean man indicted over alleged Yasukuni bombing

Japanese prosecutors have indicted a South Korean man 27, for the suspected bombing of a public restroom at a Tokyo war shrine last month, Yonhap reported Monday.

Identified only by his surname Jeon, the man is charged with breaking into the shrine.

Chon was arrested this month shortly after voluntarily returning to Tokyo.

South Korea and China regard the Yasukuni Shrine, which honors more than 2.4 million war dead _ including 14 convicted Class-A war criminals _ as a symbol of Japanese imperialism.
