One person is missing after Typhoon Soulik struck Jeju Island's second-largest city Seogwipo on Thursday, leaving a wide trail of destruction.
The missing person, identified by the surname Park, 23, and another were swept away by waves near a cascade in the city on Wednesday evening. The other person managed to get out of the water.
The typhoon also uprooted trees and felled telephone and utility poles. The storm is moving north to Busan, where it is expected to make landfall.
