The popular “Korea-France Music Festival” opens in Seorae Village’s Montmartre Park on Saturday.
“The festival is to celebrate the 130th anniversary of establishing diplomatic ties between Korea and France,” an official from the Seocho-gu Office said on Thursday, according to Yonhap news agency.
The festival will feature famous French rock band Les Innocents, who will perform their hit songs including “L'autre Finistere.”
The festival will begin with a march of 200 students from the Seoul French school and citizens, starting at the school. The students will perform Korean Fusion classical music and chanson.
K-pop stars Ali, Son Seung-yeon, Ulala Session and No Brain also will appear.
“The Korea-France Music Festival has become a popular festival, with more than 10,000 people participating every year,” said Cho Eun-hee, mayor of Secho-gu, where the festival takes place. “I hope the festival strengthens Korea-France relations.”
