A spoiler video secretly captured from the Mapo Bridge filming site for Hollywood blockbuster Avengers 2 is spreading fast online. / Courtesy of Kookmin Ilbo By Ko Dong-hwan A secretly captured snippet of scenes filmed in Seoul for Hollywood blockbuster Avengers 2 is spreading online fast, Kookmin Ilbo said Monday.The three-and-half-minute-long video shows casts of the movie filming a scene on Mapo Bridge while a man explaining the visual in English is heard. It also captured voices of Korean crowds nearby excited by the rare occasion.The video raises concerns because the captured scene almost tells part of the plot corresponding to the scene.It could provoke anyone who saw the video to surmise a related plot and spread a spoiler, dealing a critical damage to the franchise’s second installment that hasn’t even been completed.Associates from Avengers 2 had stated producers will legally fire back at those who post online video records of filming sites of the movie no matter their lengths.The video, posted last Saturday, was confirmed to have been recorde

Nation's 'online mother of all' unleashes its new logo for online users

By Ko Dong-hwanNaver launched its new logo Tuesday, simpler in design and broader in user-friendly concept. The nation’s leading online search engine Naver introduced its new mobile app logo, ZDNet Korea said Monday.The new logo, accentuated with simplicity and clarity, is a singular symbol “N.”It kept the original logo’s signature “white font with green background” but replaced the old version showing the full company name atop a search box image.The report said the new logo not only stands for the company’s first letter but also connotes the meaning of “new.”It refreshes users that the app serves more than as a search engine but as a contents platform where users can enjoy mobile services like messenger, SNS and webtoon.The new logo will be introduced first to Android phones followed by iOS carriers.

Naver Band challenges the nation's unprecedented Kakao with a new gaming platform, which will be launched for smartphone users in April 21. By Ko Dong-hwan Korea’s global instant messaging app Naver Band is launching a new gaming platform in a bid to halt its rival Kakao, the nation’s most popular communication/video game app, Digital Times said Monday.Being considered the nation’s only app developer standing toe-to-toe against Kakao, Naver Band informed associated firms through its subsidiary company Camp Mobile the game service will be launched on April 21.Band will offer ten new games on the day of launching, and will roll out additional ten every two weeks. Man found drowned under Mapo Bridge amidst shooting 'Avengers 2'

By Ko Dong-hwanWaters below Mapo Bridge in Seoul recently revealed a drowned man while the site was crowded with film crews for the upcoming Hollywood movie "Avengers 2" and passer-byers.  Police found Sunday a drowned man near Mapo Bridge, where the Hollywood movie “Avengers 2” was being filmed, according to Mapo Police Sunday.The police said the man in his early 20’s was discovered at a mid-section upstream below the bridge. They said the corpse was first spotted by one of the movie crews.Police confirmed the corpse as the man reported missing on March 10 and assumed he took his own life.The police will investigate details of the man’s death by contacting the movie crew and his family members, the report said.

By Ko Dong-hwan  Ham Sun-bok, the "boiler master"A barbeque restaurant owner famed for her masterful “boiler-making skills” in SNS videos signed an ad deal with Lotte Liquor.Seoul Shinmun said Saturday Ham Sun-bok, 47, who manages the eatery in Pohang, North Gyeongsang Province, became a model for Cheoum Cheorum, the company’s soju brand.
