More than 50 percent of Korea’s single women do not consider it necessary to marry, a survey shows.
Nearly 52 percent of 1,287 surveyed single women said it was okay to marry or not to marry, said the Korea Institute for Health and Social Affairs, which conducted the survey.
Sixty percent of 1,096 single men had a positive view of marriage, with 18 percent responding that they “must” get married.
Nearly 29 percent of the women said they did not need to have a child while 40 percent of men said they must have a child.
