South Korean officials who attended a summit between President Roh Moo-hyun and North Korean leader Kim Jong-il in Pyongyang Wednesday included Kwon O-kyu, deputy prime minister and minister of finance and economy; Lee Jae-joung, minister of unification; Kim Man-bok, director of the National Intelligence Service; and Baek Jong-chun, chief secretary to the President for national security.
From the North Korean side, Kim Yang-gon, director of the United Front Department of the Korean Workers Party, attended the talks held at the Baekhwawon State Guesthouse.
Also attending the meeting was Cho Myoung-gyun, secretary to President Roh for national security policy, to keep a record of the summit.
