Lee shows passion in culinary arts
Lee Hong-ju, a senior at Gyeongbuk Domestic Science High School in Gumi, North Gyeongsang Province, was born to a Japanese mother and Korean father.

He has shown an outstanding performance in the culinary arts with his interest in Japanese and Korean cuisines. Throughout his high school years, Lee has obtained three culinary arts certificates including a qualification in Japanese cuisine.
Lee has also swept multiple culinary competitions since 2018. Earlier this year, he won the gold medal at the International Culinary Contest hosted by the Korean Cooks Federation, in which he was awarded a silver medal in 2019. He was honored with a bronze medal in the Korea World Food Championship in his first year at high school.
With his remarkable talent in the culinary arts, his dream is to become a chef.
Lee is also a very sociable person in school, much appreciated by his classmates, as he does not hesitate to help those in need and participates in various volunteer activities.
Lee represents multicultural youth across the country
Lee Ji-myung, a first grader at Hanyoung High School in Seoul, is a member of the youth committee designated by the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family.

Born to a Chinese mother and Korean father, Lee is the only student from a multicultural background among the six members of the committee. Therefore, she strives to raise her voice on behalf of other multi-ethnic students across the country when making suggestions about youth-related policies to the ministry.
Lee is also a talented musician, being a good clarinet player, who uses her talent for the community by engaging in various music-related volunteer activities.
She began her musical career as a founding member of the musical orchestra at the Multicultural Family Support Center in Dongjak District, Seoul, in 2014. She is currently a member of the Seoul Student Philharmonic Orchestra at the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education.
Lee has displayed leadership as the vice president of her class, and works hard in her academic life to achieve her dream to become a teacher at an elementary school.
