Hollywood actress Lily Collins visits Noryangjin Fish Market in Seoul. /Courtesy of Lily Collins’ Facebook  By Lee Jin-aHollywood actress Lily Collins is soaking up Seoul’s sights as she enjoys her time in Korea.On Tuesday, she posted photographs of Noryangjin Fish Market on Facebook and Instagram after visiting Korea’s famous tourist attractions including Myeongdong, Hongdae and Dongdaemun Design Plaza.In one of the images, Collins is standing in the middle of the fish market and looking up at the glowing lights. With the photo she wrote: “Soaking in all the sights, sounds and smells.”The actress came to Korea last month to shoot the movie “Okja” by Korean director Bong Joon-ho, best known for “Snowpiercer” (2013)  and “The Host” (2006).“Okja,” set for Netflix release in 2017, is a South Korean-American science-fiction horror film.Collins is a British-American actress well known in Korea for her movies “Love, Rosie” (2014) and “Mirror, Mirror” (2012).

Woman drops criminal suit against K-pop star Park Yu-chun

K-pop boy band JYJ's Park Yu-chun / Courtesy of C-JeS EntertainmentA woman dropped a complaint against Park Yu-chun, a member of popular K-pop boy band JYJ, on Wednesday, on charges of sexual assault, police said.The 20-something woman, whose identity was withheld, filed the case with the Gangnam Police Station on Friday, claiming the singer raped her at a bar in southern Seoul early in the morning on June 4.She had claimed the incident took place in a bathroom located within a room where they had been drinking together, according to police. Park and the woman, who is an employee at the bar, did not know each other previously.The woman, however, changed her statement and dropped the suit at about midnight Wednesday, according to police. She said there was no coercion.The complainant had submitted her underwear as evidence but Park's agency C-JeS Entertainment has been denying the allegations."I did not feel good as Park's party acted as if they were thinking little of me after the sex," she was quoted by the police as saying. The employee met Park and his colleagues and spent time in a room at the bar. Korean actor Song Joong-ki from the runaway hit television series "Descendants of the Sun" enjoyed his first fan meeting in Hong Kong over the weekend as he thanked fans for their avid support, his Seoul-based agency said Sunday.Blossom Entertainment said around 8,000 fans flocked to the Asia World Expo Arena in Hong Kong on Saturday to meet the 30-year-old star.
