BMW's recalls totaled 417 in 2018, 684 in 2019, 527 in 2020, and 703 last year. Through August this year, there have been 371 recalls. The number of recalls by year for Mercedes-Benz was 302 in 2018, 216 in 2019, 234 in 2020, and 545 last year. As of August of this year, 258 recalls have been counted.
