Wrongly ordered 2,400 cakes sell out through SNS

A total of 2,400 mistakenly ordered cakes sold quickly via Twitter.
Aizawa Supermarket, in the far northern Japanese city of Wakkanai on Hokkaido, meant to order 240 cakes from a nearby bakery.
Unfortunately, the owner put an extra zero on the number by mistake -- and 2,400 cakes were delivered the next day. The desperate owner called for help via Twitter.
“I am not joking, this is what really happened,” the owner said on Twitter the same day. “They might not be all sold until before the expiry date in two days. The cakes will be sold at half price. Please come and buy.”
Aizawa Supermarket is a small countryside store that does not have many visitors.
But, it bustled with customers a few hours after the post was shared by more than 9,000 people. The cakes sold out before closing time.
“Some customers bought more than 100 cakes, saying they have read about what happened on Twitter. I am very appreciative,” the owner said.
