US marines embroiled in nude picture scandal

The U.S. Marine Corps is investigating the distributors of nude photographs of active and discharged female service members on social media, according to the Center for Investigative Reporting, a nonprofit news organization, on Saturday.
The photos were allegedly posted on to a private Facebook group named “Marines United,” which has about 30,000 members, mostly active U.S. Marines and veterans.
A recent report suggested there may be hundreds of victims, according to the Marine Corps Times.
The group not only showed photos of the female marines, but also links to download the photos, their names and where the women were based.
The Facebook group was immediately shot down following a Naval Crime Investigation Service (NCIS).
Marine Corps officials said victims should report to the NCIS.
