An 800-year-old mobile phone?
A conspiracy website tothedeathmedia.com reports that archeologists in Salzburg, Austria, have unearthed a clay object that resembles a cell phone with cuneiform writing on the keys, the British Daily Mail reports.
It said researchers believe the object is from the 13th century.
Although lack of information online leaves most readers dubious about its authenticity, some UFO hunters have claimed that this proves aliens once visited Earth, or that it could mean that time travel does exist.
YouTube channel Paranormal Crucible posted a video of the images with the caption: “What is it? Is it evidence of an advanced civilization or time travel?”
Scott Waring, editor of UFO Sighting Daily, also claims this is evidence of aliens visiting ancient civilizations on Earth.
“It is evident from this cell phone-like device that someone with an advanced knowledge of the future created it,” he wrote.
