Mystery object leaves big crater
A mysterious object that dropped out of the sky puzzled residents in the rural town of Bridgewater in Victoria, Australia.
The impact created a big crater that was filled with scraps of metal and circuit boards.
Speculation over the object ranged from helicopter debris to UFOs.
But it has been identified as a parachute experiment gone wrong.
The parachute, weighing about a ton, malfunctioned and fell to the ground.
Although there was no explosion, it left a big hole and killed a field mouse.
The hole has now been filled.
