Woman puts Down syndrome baby in washing machine

An English woman has photographed a Down syndrome toddler in a washing machine with its door closed.
Cortney Stewart, 21, posted the photo on the Internet, drawing widespread criticism.
Reports said Stewart became angry when someone called police. But people who saw the photo think her act was foolish and could have been dangerous.
Meanwhile, police arrested a person who went to Stewart's home and criticized her.
Police said: "One has no right to intervene in personal matters. Nevertheless, we will make sure no harm is done to the baby."
