Can professional wrestlers handle cage fighting?

With mixed martial arts (MMA) booming and athletes with various backgrounds turning to cage fighting, some may wonder how professional wrestlers will weather the sport.
On Friday, popular retired professional wrestler “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, 50, who became an actor after retiring from wrestling in 2003, said on TV that he might have tried cage fighting if the sport had been “as evolved as it is now” and if he had the killer instinct he had during his football days.
Austin, born Steven James Anderson, said professional wrestler Kurt Angle would make a good cage fighter, as would Mark William Calaway, (aka “The Undertaker).
Austin said he was excited to see former professional wrestler Phillip Jack Brooks (“CM Punk”) make his MMA debut this year.
