Candy hearts beat chocolates for Valentine's Day

Americans’ favorite Valentine’s Day treats are not chocolates, but colorful candy hearts that say “sweet words.”
MyFitnessPal, a service that helps people track their diets and exercise, collected data on Americans’ favorite Valentine’s Day treat for The New York Times.
The result showed "conversation hearts," the little candies that say “Be Mine” or “Cutie,” are the most popular.
Candy heart consumption on Valentine’s Day is expected to be 3,777 percent higher than usual, according to The New York Times. Chocolate consumption is expected to rise only 36 percent.
