Jolie and Gates the most admired people in world

Actress Angelina Jolie and co-founder of Microsoft Bill Gates topped the list of the most admired women and men in the world, according to a poll conducted by YouGov, an internet-based market research firm.
The list went on to show U.S. President Barack Obama as the second most admired man and Nobel Peace laureate Malala Yousafzai the second woman.
The UK-based online research company conducted two surveys by asking respondents from 34 countries around the world, "Thinking about people alive in the world today, which man or woman do you most admire?" One was conducted in December last year, and another in January.
"We polled in countries that constitute nearly two-thirds of the world's population," YouGov explained on its official website.
"However, some parts of the world were better represented than others, so we weighted up the impact certain countries had on the final scores and weighted down others so the global scores more accurately reflect the breakdown of sentiment in the world overall."
Nominations were ultimately compiled to a list of 25 men and 25 women that were nominated in at least two countries.
Chinese President Xi Jinping, actor Jackie Chan, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi were also on the list for the most admired men, along with former U.S. secretary of State Hillary Clinton, the United Kingdom's Queen Elizabeth II, and U.S. first lady Michelle Obama for women.
