Mexican soldier kills six children and wife, hangs himself

A Mexican soldier allegedly killed his six children and wife before hanging himself at home, AFP said Thursday.
The children’s bodies ― four boys and two girls ― were discovered inside their home in the Mexico City suburb of Ecatepec laid on a mattress Wednesday morning. Police said they died of asphyxiation.
The woman’s body was also found inside the home, with signs of being beaten to death on her abdomen, head and chest.
The man, whose name was not released, was discovered hanging from a rope just outside a window.
The source quoted the police as saying the man may have been responsible for murdering the children and his wife before committing suicide.
