Stuffed toy that looks like Ebola becomes popular

U.S. President Barack Obama tried to allay public fears over Ebola by giving a survivor a hug at the White House. Could a stuffed toy in the shaped like the deadly virus also help calm jitters?
The U.S.-based company Giant Microbes has been selling stuffed toys that resemble the snake-like virus. According to CTV News, the toy has sold out multiple times since Ebola hit the headlines this summer.
“Since its discovery in 1976, Ebola has become the T. Rex of microbes. Share the love!” the company says on its website.
The company describes the toy as a “great teaching tool for students of all ages.” Giant Microbes specializes in stuffed toys that come with educational tags that explain why certain microscopic diseases are dangerous. Its product line includes E. coli bacteria and Mad Cow disease toys.
