Mo'ne Davis throws out strike at World Series

Mo’ne Davis, the 13-year-old girl whose pitching dazzled the United States during the Little League World Series, threw out the first pitch before Game 4 of the World Series in San Francisco, San Francisco.

And, wouldn’t you know it, she pitched a strike.

The pitch came before the San Francisco Giants faced off against the Kansas City Royals at AT&T Park.

It was the latest chapter in Davis’ amazing journey, after she captivated the world with her dominating fastball at the Little League World Series in Williamsburg, Va., this summer.

"Just to be at the World Series is pretty cool," Davis said. "If I didn't throw a strike, I don't know what I would do. Throwing a strike was probably the best part."

The sold-out crowd at AT&T Park gave Davis a standing ovation when she was introduced.

Due to her dominating stretch at the Little League World Series ­ which was ultimately won by the Korean team ­ Davis has graced the cover of Sports Illustrated and appeared on "The Tonight Show" with Jimmy Fallon.
