ISIS boasts of enslaving girls

The Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) has praised its enslavement of hundreds of Yazidi girls and women to use as concubines.
An English-language propaganda magazine said that females of the minority group in northern Iraq had been captured after ISIS militants overtook their villages.
The article said the practice was a “firmly established aspect of the Sharia, or Islamic law.” It said that the rejection of slavery had caused more men to commit adultery and fornication, claiming that concubines were a “legal” relationship that would help men avoid temptation; and praised ISIS for bring back the practice.
In a video by Human Rights Watch, Yazidi women testified that they had seen their male family members killed and were taken by the group and forced to marriage with the group’s militants.
According to the video, a teenage girl had been bought by one militant for $1,000.
