Horse wanders into police station

Police in Winsford, U.K., were surprised last week when a horse strolled into their station despite one officer’s attempts to shoo him out.

The brown and white horse lives near the building, the police said. But it made itself right at home by sauntering through the sliding doors, ignoring the officer, who backed off as the animal entered the building.

Footage of the incident was captured on a security camera and released by police on Thursday.

The humor of the situation was not lost on the officers.

“We were somewhat saddled with our unexpected guest, who in the early hours of the morning quickly became the mane event of the night shift,” the station said in a cheeky statement. “We like to ensure a warm welcome to all our guests at HQ, and at neigh point did the horse pose a risk to security.”
