Actor Chris Evans, best known for playing “Captain America” in the Hollywood blockbuster, briefly plays a Korean man from the 1392-1910 Joseon Dynasty in a new film.
In “Playing it Cool,” Evans plays a screenwriter who doesn’t believe in love until he meets the right woman, played by Michelle Monaghan.
In one scene – which takes place in the male lead’s imagination – Evans and Monaghan wear traditional Joseon-era garb and speak in Korean.
Evans is more than likely familiar with Korean after his role in the 2013 sci-fi film “Snowpiercer,” directed by Bong Joon-ho.
