A student rented out his girlfriend to raise money to buy Apple’s new iPhone 6, the South China Morning Post (SCMP) reports.
Wei Chu, 25, a student at Shanghai’s Songjiang University was seen near campus holding a placard that said: “Girlfriend Sharing: eating and studying together, playing games, going on dates.”
The price was listed below, ranging from 10 yuan an hour to 500 yuan a month, the SCMP reported.
Wei was reported to be happy to give details about his girlfriend, Xiao Ai, 21, including photos and measurements to his potential customers. He said his girlfriend was willing to take part.
According to the report, there have been other instances of Chinese people taking extreme measures to buy the newest Apple products. In 2012, a teenager from Hunan province reportedly sold a kidney to buy an iPhone and an iPad.
