Florida children electrified in pool

Three children were severely injured in Florida after their pool at the Palms West Gardens Condominium became electrified, according to a report by local news channel ABC Channel 3.
A surveillance video obtained by the broadcaster first shows a little girl touching a metal hand rail as she tries to come out of the pool. As soon as her hand touches the rail, her head tilts back and her body seems to freeze, unable to let the rail go.
A man immediately grabs the girl and he gets electrified as well but still manages to yank the child out of the water. But there is another child in the water with the electric current rendering her unable to get out of the pool.
Another man eventually comes to help and risks his own safety to pull the girl’s limp body out of the water. There was another girl, not pictured, who was injured.
Inspectors say that the three children were shocked when the pool’s pump malfunctioned and electrified the water.
The children spent four nights at a local hospital but they have recovered.
