NYC Mayor's fork used to eat pizza raises $2,500

New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio
New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio’s Pizzagate flap has generated some dough for a local charity, the New York Daily News reported.
The infamous fork that Hizzoner used to chow down on pizza in Staten Island last month netted $2,500 in an online charity auction for the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
Foundation Chairman Frank Siller said the fork was purchased by an anonymous bidder who then donated the cutlery back to the foundation.
The proceeds will go toward Hurricane Sandy relief and assistance for wounded soldiers.
The fork was at the center of the furor that erupted after de Blasio used it ― and a knife ― to eat pizza at Goodfellas Pizzeria.
